Spark Motion: Build bowling motion before drilling the ball
Spark Motion is a visual learning system for building 3D bowling-ball layouts, studying core motion, and testing ideas before they reach the lane. Spark Motion Create runs on the Mac, and Spark Motion Viewer lets bowlers inspect shared layouts on iPhone.
Layout Tools, Teaching Modules, and Motion Testing
Spark Motion Create is designed as both a toolbox and an educational system. Layout geometry, visible track migration, core response, oil-pattern context, and lane reaction meet in a single workspace.
The test environment is synthetic, but it gives bowlers, designers, and curious learners a concrete way to connect a layout decision to the motion it is intended to create.
The Spark Motion Workflow
Start with the lessons. Basic Core Theory connects core shape, layout choices, traction, and visible track migration, so a drilling decision becomes something you can see and explain.
Ball Layout Tool. Build a ball in 3D, then compare pin distance, PAP, grip, layout method, and core response. Explore how the same idea responds on 35, 39, and 43 foot oil patterns.
Layout Test Center. Take a saved layout into the test center to study its modeled motion from more than one direction. It is a visual planning and learning tool, not a promise of an identical reaction on every lane.
Customer Ball Arsenal. Save models under each customer and review their ball arsenal together. Fitting information, layouts, and equipment options stay connected, making it easier to see gaps worth discussing next.
Spark Motion Viewer for iPhone
Spark Motion Viewer opens shared .smx layout files from Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or Files. Bowlers can inspect the ball in 3D, reveal layout markings, review layout details, and play the saved motion.

Built to Explain
Spark Motion makes layout work visual and easier to revisit. It is for ball designers and pro shops, but also for hobbyists and bowlers who want to understand why a ball reacts the way it does.
